Nobody meant it that way.

Shortly before her birthday, a teenage girl receives an ambiguous letter from an online friend who then suddenly stops responding. Already unsettled, she misinterprets a private conversation between her friends and a photograph of them together as proof that she is being pushed out of their lives. As a series of innocent misunderstandings deepens her isolation, she waits through the night for a sign that someone still cares unaware of everything happening beyond her view.
