Samuel Wilder King: Fighting for Statehood

To join the republic, Hawaii needed a King.

Samuel Wilder King, a descendant of Scottish sailors and Hawaiian royalty, served as a distinguished Naval officer in both World Wars before becoming Governor of the Hawaii Territory.
